To ensure participants are reviewed in a timely manner, our system has an automated processing rule.
The 21-Day Rule
If a submission has not been manually reviewed within 21 days of being submitted, the system will automatically process it as follows:
Auto-Approval
Submissions with a non-zero base payment (i.e., standard Completed submissions) will be automatically approved.
Auto-Rejection
Submissions with a zero base payment (i.e., Timed Out or Returned submissions) will be automatically rejected.
Why This Rule Exists
This automated system ensures that participants receive timely payments and feedback, maintaining trust and fairness on the platform.
How It Works
- Day 1-21: Manual review period - you can approve or reject submissions
- Day 22: Automatic processing occurs for any unreviewed submissions
- Completed submissions: Automatically approved and payment is processed
- Timed out/Returned submissions: Automatically rejected with a standard message
💡 Best Practice
Review submissions regularly to maintain control over the approval process. Don't rely on automatic processing except for exceptional circumstances.
Avoiding Automatic Processing
To maintain full control over your study's quality:
- Set up a regular review schedule (daily or weekly)
- Use submission notifications to stay updated
- Process submissions in batches to save time
- Review questionable submissions promptly
⚠️ Important
Once automatic processing occurs, you cannot change the decision. Review submissions within 21 days to maintain full control.
Impact on Your Budget
Automatic approvals will result in payment to participants, using your reserved funds. Make sure to monitor your submissions regularly if budget control is important for your study.
